From Tiny Fellow to Homeschool STEAM Fest: Bringing Hands-on Learning to Manatee County!

I’m so excited to continue sharing my journey as a Tiny Fellow and the exciting project I’m currently working on producing for our community — our 1st Annual Homeschool STEAM Fest! This 2-day STEAM festival will serve as the pilot for my Homeschool STEAM program for homeschoolers. I aim to engage homeschool students and families through exciting hands-on learning opportunities, workshops, and resources to spark and accelerate their engagement in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math.

STEAM Homeschool

As many of you know, I’m passionate about creating engaging and effective ways to educate kids using STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math). These fields offer a powerful toolkit for fostering our young learners’ curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Being a Tiny Fellow has been an incredible experience. This program has empowered me to turn my vision for a STEAM-focused homeschool program into a reality. Connecting with other passionate educators and receiving support to bring my ideas to life has been amazing.

Homeschool STEAM Fest coming soon!

Speaking of bringing ideas to life, I’m thrilled to announce our 1st Annual Homeschool STEAM Fest – a completely FREE, family-friendly event happening right here in Manatee County on April 20th and 21st! This pilot program will be held at The NEST at Robinson Preserve, and it’s going to be a blast. We’ll have robots, slime stations, and a ton of other engaging activities designed to spark kids’ imaginations and get them excited about STEAM concepts.

Did you catch me talking about the Homeschool STEAM on our local news station, Bay News 9? They recently featured a story about my journey as a Tiny Fellow and my vision for this program. You can check out the full article [Manatee County mother to start STEAM homeschool program] to see a short video where I share more about my program and why I’m so passionate about bringing it to our community in Southwest Florida.
