As we get ready to head back to school I wanted to select the best products that would get us through an entire school year. I wanted to make sure to shop for these only once. And beside being obsessed with how pretty Thirty-One prints are and how well their products keep us organized, I also know how sturdy and durable they are!

Back to School for Kids

This year, my big boy is heading to fourth grade. I can hardly believe it! Where did the time go? Feels like just yesterday he was headed to Kinder (mommy sob). I know you can relate!

Fourth grade will bring many demands. Including being able to carry all those BIG books. That’s why this year a bigger, stronger backpack is a necessity. Also he’s “all grown-up now” (that’s what he says) so he didn’t want any of the kiddie-type character backpacks he’s gone with in the past.

This year he wanted something classier, more grown up. I gave him the Thirty-One catalog and let him choose for himself. He went with the Going My Way Backpack in the Charcoal Crosshatch print. And I thought that was a perfect choice!

I surprised him with a customized little touch and added an embroidered letter J to it. He loved that!

Since he’s a growing boy (it doesn’t matter what he says. He’s still my growing baby! lol), I also knew he would need a much bigger lunch bag this year. Just a sandwich and drink won’t cut it. I wanted to make sure I selected a lunch thermal that could hold a bigger lunch, a couple of snacks, a water bottle and juice too.

My kid has never been one for school lunch so I’ve been packing his lunch ever since he started school as a pre-schooler. But this year I have to step up my game!

I choose the Around the Clock Thermal for him. I let him choose the print. And because “he’s all grown-up now” he went with the Got Dots print. I thought it matched perfectly with his backpack. Plus I was super happy to see just how much I could fit into this large lunch bag.

This thermal includes a water-resistant thermal lining, an interior mesh pocket and a front zipper pocket too. Hold up to 15lbs. More than enough lunch for a growing boy’s tummy!

And just like that! I can’t believe he’s off to his first day of fourth grade! He does look ready though. Don’t you think?

Back to School for Teachers

Now let’s talk about my choices! As a teacher I’m a bag lady of sorts. If you’re a teacher you can relate.

Teachers carry it all! Books, papers, and more papers, binders, files, pencils, tech, and lunch too! I had to choose a bag and tote that would keep me organized too!

I decided to go with the Tall Organizing Tote in Little Scribble print. It’s perfect! It keeps all papers, files, books, and even a tablet or two, neatly organized while moving around and traveling from classroom to classroom, or from home to school and back.

A zip-top closure also ensures that all important papers stay in place and secure. It also includes an interior flat pocket, as well as a zipper pocket so that I can keep valuables and small items secure too. The pen slots and exterior pockets also make sure that I have the supplies I need handy at all times. And best part is that it can hold up to 40 lbs.!

And yes, as a teacher I often carry that much weight around. Reason why I needed a great sturdy bag!

I also carry tech and other things with me on a daily. I chose the Swap It Pocket in Charcoal Crosshatch print to carry all those extras.

It’s a pocket lover’s dream and can hold small notebooks, notepads, all my pens and markers, post-its, chargers, headphones, smartphone, and even a small tablet. The zippered exterior pockets, along with interior smaller pockets, keep everything secure and in place.

Even though I usually work through lunch I still need to ensure I do have a healthy meal with me each day. I chose the Going Places Thermal in Chevron Squares print to carry my lunch. This zip-around closure thermal is just perfect. Keeps contents cool or warm for over an hour and has an interior mesh pocket and an exterior flat pocket, perfect for throwing in a couple of snack bars.
